Karavalli, Bangalore’s iconic Chettinad restaurant, is giving Chennaites a chance to enjoy Southwest India's coastal delicacies at this pop up in Taj Connemara's Raintree restaurant. Happening till July 14th, this pop up will feature authentic, coastal recipes infused with new additions. From Oggaraneda Aritha Pundi (steamed rice dumplings, flavored with coconut and cumin), Koli Barthad (succulent pieces of chicken, pan- fried with roasted spices and Coorg vinegar) and Allapuzha Meen Curry (cubes of seer fish, simmered in a moderately spiced gravy of freshly ground coconut, ginger and raw mangoes) to Pachakkari Stew (seasonal vegetables simmered in coconut milk), it's a feast out there.
They have dessert too. Goan delicacies like Bebinca and Dodol along with local favourite Elaneer Payasam (chilled tender coconut pudding). It's an a la carte menu with lunch being served only on weekends and dinner on all days. A meal for two would cost about INR 3000.
