Tucked into a very tiny shop parallel to the Seaward Roads, Amutha Coffee is one of the oldest stores in the area. Busy with customers almost all the time (even in the afternoons!), this store has been selling some amazing coffee powder all through the years. The enthusiastic sales manager of Amutha Coffee told us about how they have flocks of regular customers who are loyal to their coffee.
They source it directly from the farms in Karnataka and have priced it at INR 220 for half a kilogram. No fancy flavours, no fancy packaging, just coffee that tastes like heaven. Apart from coffee, they have a whole lot of other stuff on display. Papad, pickle (lemon, mango and citron), appam (rice-based sweet snack) and more- their snacking range is tempting, freshly made at home and budget. A pack of four appams costs as low as INR 50. These snacks are carefully packed in either paper covers and plastic covers and have very little sugar, oil and no preservatives.
