What Makes It Awesome

The Bajji shop, which is located in a narrow lane near Adyar Bakery on Sardar Patel Road in Adyar has been giving Chennaiites the best bajji experience for over 10 years now! This popular but tiny stall sees people flock there for their delicious bajjis, especially in the evenings.

The shop has always outperformed its counterparts who are in plenty at beaches such as Elliot’s and Marina. The price of a bajji — potato, chilli or vazhaka aka raw banana, and a masala vada stand at a mere INR 7 each. Samosas and cutlets are priced at INR 10, and the stall sells other savouries and sweets like jalebis for a very nominal price. Although their snacks are cheap, the quality of food is high and hygienic.

The stall doesn’t have any seating options. Either eat the delicious bajjis, which are made right in front of you at the stall, or get them parcelled for a bite during your journey home! You will not find this stall on Zomato, but it is rather easy to locate. Right below the Lattice Bridge on Sardar Patel Road lies the Adyar Bakery, and in the lane right next to the bakery lies the Bajji shop.
