Blouse Mela

What's Happening

A blouse is as important to a saree as saree is in Indian tradition. Take your love for handlooms to the next level. Together with the artisans and weavers, the Craft Council Of India brings to you an exhibit of artisan blouses at this exclusive Blouse Mela in Egmore. The mela will showcase the art and design of unstitched blouses being stitched to perfection by artists who would travel from across India for the exhibit.

From across the country, you will see the art of embroidery, kalamkari print, hand blocking and weaving, all amalgamated into the creation of one piece of blouse. With a range of displayed blouses, go for an ikat blouse of Eri silk or Kutch embroidery on ajrakh print! You will even find upcycled pieces of blouses made from khadi clothes. All of them at Kamala Crafts shop from 11th to 13th July 2019.

How's The Venue

Kamala Crafts shop comes under the Crafts Council of India in order to promote native artisans and the prized handlooms from across the states of the country.
