Or, perhaps, lose yourself in a book with some food and drinks for company? The Board Room

Located in the heart of Mylapore, The Board Room has an entire floor dedicated to board games. They have a lot to eat and a lot to board games to play as well. They serve pastas, Panini, rice bowls, beverages, etc. Every weekend you would see a lot of families, group of friends, girl gangs, hobby clubs, neighbourhood groups meet here and relax. They are open from 11 am - 10 pm and their fee is INR 200 per person if you choose to play a game excluding food.

The Board Game Lounge

Located in Adyar, this place is touted to be Chennai's first board game cafe, The Board Game Lounge has more than 250 games. Ticket to Ride, Splendor, 7 Wonders, Scythe, A Game of Thrones: The Board Game, Anachrony are few of the games that are there in this place. You need to pay a flat fee and not per game, so you can play multiple games. From Tuesday to Friday (2 pm - 10 pm) the fee is INR 200 per person and on weekends (12 pm - 9 pm), it’s INR 300 (exclusive of food). They serve tea, coffee, kombucha, tea cake and more. 

Gameistry

All you board game lovers imagine having a range of collection of board games from around the world to choose from to play with your gang. That’s exactly what you will find at Gameistry. They have about 700 plus games under one roof which are all uber cool and for a price of INR 99 per hour, per head, you can play up to three games during weekdays. During weekends, the price changes to INR 119. They have a vegetarian cafeteria serving pizzas, mocktails, fries, sandwiches, etc. This board game cafe is located in Egmore.

Coffee Central

Situated in North Boag road, T.Nagar, this cute cafe has a chill vibe to it and serves great coffee. While sipping on it, you can play a game or two of UNO, Ludo, Snakes & Ladders. Our favourite is their Layered Mocha - hot and cold expresso layers served with chocolate sauce and ice cream.
