Now that Bombay Shirt Company’s opened up on Cathedral Road, you can stop looking for that elusive shirt with that perfect fit. On offer are a variety of basic readymade shirts in solids, stripes, checks and funky prints if you want to shop and dash — mostly for men, but also some for women. But it’s their custom apparel that you should have your eye on. Bombay Shirt Company touts itself as India’s first custom-made shirt brand, and after Bangalore {they also have stores in Mumbai and Delhi} they are now in Chennai. The store is spread across 400 square feet and will offer fabrics ranging from Egyptian cottons to linen and denim, flannel and more sourced from fabric mills from India, Europe, Turkey, Japan.
The store has been done up with wooden accents and pastel shades, keeping in with the theme of the rest of its stores across the country. They will also extend style guidance to gentlemen and a master tailor will be on hand to help you find that perfect suit or a pair of trousers. Watch this space for more!
