What Makes It Awesome

Ah! The Brew Room is truly out of a fairytale. Don't y'all agree? Set in the gardens of The Savera Hotel, you’ll hardly believe you're in the middle of Mylapore when you are here. Wrought iron garden furniture — the Victorian style, pretty birdcages, little ponds and gazebos straight out of an English royal’s estate, make it a dreamy setting outside. Inside is no less pretty, but with a bit more quirk in the form of mini colourful Ferris wheels, bicycles and a massive blackboard with your coffee blend options, this is where you go if you want to impress someone, effortlessly.

They don’t mess about with coffee. And no, not your usual filter coffee (which by the way, is also on the menu). Spearheaded by Marc, originally from Barcelona, they’ve got about eight different blends you can try. We tried The Siphon and Cold Drip — both very interesting. The former is something that belongs in a chemistry lab as it’s pressed in a cool vacuum machine giving you a slightly strong brew with floral and spicy notes.

Cold Drip, like the name suggests, is pressed at about 5 degrees Centigrade and is served cold. The best part? They use Monsoon Malabar coffee beans for this one so it is certainly richer, and borders on being like a fine wine. There’s also a strong Turkish coffee, Chemex. If all of these are too much for you, fear not. You can always fall back on good old Cappuccino, Latte or even a host of teas.

If you’re feeling hungry, then don’t think twice before having their gooey brownies. They also have healthy breakfasts, indulgent ones and simple cookie ones are all available too if you are up by 7 am. For late risers, luckily they have All Day Breakfasts.
