Get Shorty: The Chennai International Short Film Festival Is Coming Back To Town
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Unlike other film festivals, the CISFF doesn’t have a overarching theme for the films it is showcasing. Films of all kinds will be screened and often themes can overlap in different films with filmmakers choosing to portray contemporary topics that are real to them. So as a viewer you can expect to hear and see interesting stories, in a format that is easy to access. Lovers of world cinema and even those that love to travel and see new sights will thoroughly enjoy this event.
Why Should I Go For It?
Chennai’s rich cultural and artistic roots are what make events like this possible. With strong proponents and backers from the Tamil movie industry and other areas, the scale of this event is what makes it a treat. Where else in India can you watch 371 international short films over six days all for free!?!? Budding filmmakers will be able to hone their skills in narration, writing and screenplay as they sample a very broad slice of the short film world.
