Located along a slew of tiny stores, we found Chithraa's. One look at the store and you would think it's like any other family store you would find in Chennai. But that's when Chithraa's proves you wrong. From fancy organzas to boxy shirts and smart polo shirts, this store in a clothes wonderland.
We particularly loved the designer blouses here that come with fancy kalamkari prints, Ikkat designs, quirky hand embroidery, brocades and more. They also have pretty rayon kurtas and all kinds of sarees ranging from cotton to georgettes and chiffon, but it's their organza sarees with floral embroidery and pastel hues that won our heart. Prices for these start from about INR 1500.
