Recently having completed 25 years, Dahlia is Chennai’s oldest Japanese restaurant. Located on Nungambakkam High Road, Dahlia is a large reason for Chennai’s bustling Japanese cuisine scene, and to be the best city to get the best Japanese food. Started by Mr Yamauchi, the restaurant came into being when the owner felt like there was a need for a Japanese eatery to meet the demands of a large in flow of Japanese professionals who regularly came to the city on business. They have a big menu on sushi and sashimi, including the rare inari sushi {made with sweet tofu}. Vegetarians there is a big page of sushi and maki dedicated just to you. The mains come in sets and include everything from teriyaki to katsu sets, don {meal in a bowl} and even Osaka favourite omelette Okonomiyaki.
