Located on the fourth floor of Velachery's Grand Square Mall, Diya looks like a regular daycare service centre for kids. While it does offer that, this centre also offers a whole range of experiential learning activities that will blow your mind. Touted be India's first mall-based experiential learning centre, they offer activities for kids starting 2 years and upwards.
Speech and drama class, gadget-free life skill learning, art club, music, traditional performing arts, taichi, yoga, chess, book and game club and even robotics - your little ones can sign up for any of these regular classes based on their interest and age group. There are no books but so much to learn and experience! Their tagline also is 'Get Unskooled', as Diya attempts to break away from the whole classroom setup and lets the children pick what they like and learn something new at the same time. This place is a hit among the residents of the area, having parents walking in all-day, dropping their little ones for their opted classes. The duration of the activity, however, depends on the chosen class.
Open only for three days of the week (Tuesday and weekends), Diya takes in children between1:30 pm and 9:30 pm. And, If not for anything else, you can always opt for their daycare services for kids while you attend to your shopping list. They've got swings, slides, soft-pit landings and so much more. It's a win-win for both you and your little one.
