There are fewer things more magical than a well curated box of bookish goodies and that’s exactly what Feathery Neon Crate provides.

Unbox Happiness

Started in August of this year, Feathery Neon Crate was put together by Priyanka and Jerald to encourage more people to read and experience more about the world of books. It’s the wonderful thing about subscription boxes – they have not only books, but also other fun goodies and accompaniments for the books depending on the month. Like in September they included coffee, coaster and coffee themed bookmarks because October 1 was International Coffee Day, so it was the perfect collection of things for coffee lovers to use.

But the one thing that makes them stand out from everyone else is their collaboration with the Rotary Club. Every month, once their subscriptions are renewed and new customers sign up, INR 35 from each order goes into helping the Rotary Club with school projects. Think of it like a ‘pay it forward’ concept, which helps kids get access to books and get to go on other exciting adventures.

At Your Doorstep

Their boxes have a theme every month and the book, along with the goodies, fit into that theme. Their August theme was “Welcome Box”, then in September, they had the “Man Booker Prize Shortlisted” box which included books that had been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize this year and years before. And their October theme was “From Stars To Turtles” which featured the newest book from John Green titled Turtles All The Way Down. They are now taking orders for their New Year special edition box which has five different options, at different prices {INR 599 to INR 1999}.

But growing the box is not all they’re planning for 2018, they will add books for purchase via their website as well. Often, a lot of young adult and international books are expensive because of the import tax that is levied on them, but Feathery Neon Crate is planning to bring those books to the Indian audiences at a regular price.

Follow them on Instagram for regular updates and visit their website to get your first box!
