A blend of old school songs and latest Bollywood beats, the All Chennai Dandiya Nite is being organised by an NGO called All Ladies League. The event is all set to take place in an air-conditioned indoor venue so there’s no worrying about wearing clothes with heavy work {the sultry weather cannot stop you there}. There’s also a vegetarian buffet dinner to follow with many north Indian delicacies to savour.

Navratri Festival @ EA Mall
The annual Navratri Festival is back again for the seventh time at Express Avenue Mall, so dress in your best ethnic ensemble and get ready for Garba and Dandiya Raas with a mix of Zumba, DJ Nights and dhol performances. And it’s not just about the moves, experience a first-of-its-kind midnight food court with vegetarian delicacies. Dandiya sticks are also provided at an additional, refundable cost of INR 100 only.

Dandiya 2017 At Dharmaprakash Kalyana Mandap
Groove to some traditional Gujarati beats and music by a live band at this Dandiya Night organised by the Gujarati Youth Association. Spend your evening dancing away to the dhols and snack on yummy Gujarati delicacies at the food stalls that are being set up.

Garba Night At Hema Malini Kalyan Mandap
Head over to this Garba Night that’s organised by the Bihar Chaupal in Chennai. The event is free for all and is complete with a DJ and many food stalls ranging from Bihari delicacies to Kolkata favourites and even our local Sowcarpet goodies! Also, the idol of Goddess Durga will be unveiled on September 27 morning with all the traditional shastric rituals and will be open for viewing and puja until September 30 noon.
