Hamsa, located in Gandhi Nagar, Adyar will give you royal feels with its plush interiors and exotic food. The ambiance is absolutely stunning with rich, ethnic detailing.
The beautiful flower cages at the lobby are pretty captivating, but they’re simply a glimpse to the flawless detailing and richness of Hamsa! The restaurant leaves you in awe with intricate brass wall panels, a jaw-dropping bronze chandelier, and hand-carved pink sandstone pillars. The ambience is a visual treat and by the time one comes to terms with the sheer opulence of the place, you are served the first course of your meal – dessert! They literally bring to life the quote “Life is short, eat dessert first”. The cuisine at Hamsa is rich, traditional and full of royal Indian vegetarian delicacies. Yum!
On the appetizer front, they have their signature Paneer Saunfiya, a simple paneer dish with mild spices. They also have Makki Muthiah Chat (corn dumplings made like bhel puri), Hamsa’s Leaf Enclosed Paneer (cottage cheese grilled in a banana leaf) and a signature dish with mushrooms hand-picked from the Himalayas among other options. Their main course is quite simple with curries, dals, breads and staple rice varieties. We’re absolutely stoked by the idea of a luxurious vegetarian fine dining restaurant and will check out Hamsa real soon, watch this space for more!
