The monsoons are making it quite a miserable time to venture out to get a good meal and we totally understand that. But instead of venturing out in the rain and spending hours travelling in rain clogged traffic, we’d recommend you sit warm and cosy in your office or apartment and let these restaurants come to you!

Gharwaalatiffin - Delivery Express

Exclusively for home delivery only, this restaurant boasts of a wide menu of dishes from street food to North Indian cuisine and so much more. They have a Maharaja Hunger Combo which works like a set meal featuring Indian breads, a vegetable dish, dal, rice and a dessert. And all of this comes in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options as well as “super-sized” versions. The cost of the combos range from INR 190 to INR 270 depending on what you choose. And when you order through Zomato, you get a portion of rabri free!

And like many North Indian restaurants in the country, they even have a small section of Chinese food options starting with soup, rice and noodles and even chopsey. Madrasi Biryani

Is there anything in the world more delicious than biryani? We think not. Which is why you need to check out this fantastic place that delivers hot biryani straight to your door. They have single portion biryanis available as well as bucket biryani for a large group. If you’re stuck in office you know what to do!

Choose from mutton, chicken or egg biryani {INR 170 – INR 110} or settle for a bucket of the mutton biryani instead {INR 1,800 for a big bucket, INR 1,100 for a small bucket}. They also have delicious sides like Chicken 65, Pepper Chicken and even Chicken Lollipop. For vegetarians, they have the option of a plain biryani that would skip all the meat and egg if you make a request. When ordering through Zomato, a portion of Bread Halwa is complimentary.

Ovenstory has quite a few outlets, but you can order from their Navallur restaurant via Zomato and get your hands on the 4 Pepper Falafel or Chipotle Keema & Sausage and round it all off with a Molten Lava Cake! And if you order through Zomato, you get 30 percent off on your bill.

The Wok Box Co.

If you’re not interested in North Indian food, or pizzas or biryani, then maybe something Asian is more up your street? The Wok Box Co only serves vegetarian food, but that definitely doesn’t stop the food from being innovative and absolutely awesome. You can make your own wok, customising it the way you would prefer it, or just get many portions of baos if that’s what you’re feeling. You can choose from Crispy Fried Vegetable with Sriracha Bao or the Baochurian!

Sometimes you just have a craving for desserts and that’s where this new spot in Navallur comes in handy. With a menu only featuring dessert, you can get your sweet fix to pass the time during the monsoons. You can get a full Belgian Chocolate Cake, or a box of Chocolate Fantasy. And if you’re more interested in Indian sweets, they have quite a few to choose from as well – including Gulab Jamun and Kesar Muesli.
