A 300-year old fort build by the Nawabs of Arcot during the Mughal Era in the early 17th century and gifted to the French commander, Joseph François Dupleix, for his service. In the photos, you've the tumbling ruins of what was once a major trading port by the Bay of Bengal. This port was used to trade ghee, zari and salt to the French. Although, this isn't open to public right now as they have restoration work going on. It is an excellent place for those who appreciate history, those who love the lagoons and those who want epic photographs.
