Kamini Fashions at Mookambika Complex is a storehouse for kurtis, salwars, and especially saris.

What Makes It Awesome

With a strict dress code in colleges around the city, we know that you are always looking for places that sell kurtis and salwars. We recommend you to check out Kamini Fashions that specialises in kurtis, salwars and especially saris. Be it casual or for work, they hoard up on kurtis of different sizes. Primarily made from Jaipur and Trichy cotton, their kurtis are perfect to deal with the Chennai weather.

We found kurtis with Ikat, Bandhej, Bandhani, Batik, and block print on a lot of bright and pastel shades. We dug the one with Rajhasthani mirror work and geometric block print. Kalamkari is a Chennai favourite and we loved the one with a picturesque garden design on it. Their plain kurtas begin from INR 600. While the fancier kurtis begin from INR 899, their salwar sets are priced from INR 799.

The sari section is flooded with Rajasthani prints and material. We liked the navy blue cotton saree with a sunflower Bagru print. You can find cotton, semi-cotton, and synthetic fabric in the sari section. If maintaining a cotton sari is tough, choose from their georgette and silk options, too. You can find many floral printed saris, too that make for a good attire for an evening function. Whether it’s a regular Monday or a kalyaanam week, you’ll find saris for both occasions at this store.

What Could Be Better

There are very few options for salwars, so you can rather spend time checking out their amazing collection of saris and kurtis. The prices seem a bit expensive, but the store assures that the clothes will last a long time.
