Craving A Midnight Snack? Check Out This New Take-Away Joint In Alwarpet

If you are looking for a place to grab a midnight snack, then Kapao, a takeaway/delivery joint is perfect.

After a successful stint at Egmore, as Kapa Dos, the owners of the restaurant, Rohan Nandakumar and Ankita have opened a new takeaway/delivery address at Alwarpet. And this time the restaurant is called, Kapao. Inspired by good old Batman and Robin comics! Their starters include vegetarian and chicken momos. Their Kurkure Momo has a crunchy surface, almost reminding you of the KFC chicken wings. Bite in and the perfectly cooked veggies are a delight. Move to their mains and they have rice bowls as well as pizzas.

Their thin crust California Calling pizza that comes with pesto, fresh bocconcini cheese, spinach, green peppers and spring onion was a sure shot winner. We particularly liked how the crust has sesame seeds and was baked to the T. My companion liked White Lady that comes with cheese sauce, grilled potatoes, balsamic onions, jalapeno and roast garlic. The roast garlic added a lot of flavour to the pizza making it a lot more crunchier. Rice lovers could also try their The Schezwan stir fry bowl that also has a prawn option other than vegetarian and chicken. 

For those who like the typical Mumbaiwala vada pav, this one with a cheesy twist might bot be the best option. It could also do with a little less salt.  

They also have several combo offers that are perfect if you are planning a night out with your friends. The restaurant is open till 2am, so night snacking is sorted.
