Describing itself as a tiki bar, KoKoMmo is the city’s newest watering hole that’s just launched at the InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram resort on ECR. The bar cum shack is right on the beach, so rest assured you’ll be sipping Mai Tais with your toes tucked into the sand. Open every day from 5pm to 11.30pm, KoKoMmo is the beach bar we’ve all been waiting for. The tropical theme they’re going for is present in the menu with their range of tropical artisanal cocktails, sangria, wine and more along with seafood, grilled meats and coastal curries, all of which we can’t wait to try out. Expect everythign from flea markets to beach screenings: films and live matches in the coming months. I mean just look at the photos! We’re just excited that there’s a place in Chennai where you can legally drink on the beach. Just make sure you have a designated driver to chauffeur you to and from Intercontinental as cab rides will be expensive.
