What Makes It Awesome

If you’re looking to get out of the city this weekend and do something a little more quiet and simple, then Seaside Getaway, in Kovalam is exactly where you need to go. With the ocean 50 meters away from the home and a sprawling garden, this then pet-friendly seaside home is definitely an escape that you’ve been waiting for. You can swing by any of the hotels along the stretch or visit DakshinaChitra and maybe even drive down to Pondicherry for the day if you wish – because this home is in the prime spot to experience it all.

Seaside Getaway has two bedrooms, with floor to ceiling glass windows, so you’re greeted every morning by the sunlight as well as all of the nature surrounding the property. Make your tea or coffee and step out into the garden to get the full effect of being away from home for a few days. And then, once you’re ready for a little adventure, there’s a private entry to the beach right from the house, so you can get the most of that too.

You can also cook your own meals in the kitchen. The best part is that the market is close by and you can get fresh fish for your meals! And if you request it early enough, the caretaker can make you a few simple meals. But if you’d like to whip up your own meals, the kitchen is well equipped, and you can get your pantry essentials from around the area. But if cooking is not what you plan on doing there, you can always get food delivered from Casurina Bay or go over to Vivanta by Taj or The Surf Club.

While parties are not allowed, the spacious common rooms and the large garden are great places to just relax with your friends. Seaside Getaway is perfect for four people, so if it’s just the four of you, then you can truly make the most of this. And if you’re bringing kids or pets, all that open space is absolutely perfect.

The house is priced at about INR 4079 per night (for two).
