What Makes It Awesome

Imagine aisles with books on either side ranging from Bronte's Jane Eyre to Grey's Anatomy and bagging them at half prices. Well, Chennaites, these aisles are not too far away: they're located right at the centre of our city.

This book nook is a two-minute walk from Chennai central railway station. Yes, you can discuss Mahabharata and Pulitzer prize winners while the city around you is buzzing with trains entering and leaving the station and vehicles rearing to go, just 500 meters away.

What's My Pro Tip?

Apart from walking down the lane and picking your books, I suggest you strike a conversation with the booksellers, you may end up knowing lesser known facts about the influence of literature on mankind. They are kind enough to suggest books depending on your interest {that's how I ended with my copy of Inheritance of Loss} and sometimes even notify you when the books are restocked.

Also, it's a great place to exhibit your bargaining abilities because there is no fixed price as such {No GST, yay!}. They accept cash, mobile wallets and ATMs are available close by. Visit the place preferably in the mornings or early evenings. It's open on all days.

Anything Else?

So all you book hoarders and readers, Moore market in Chennai is highly recommended, it's one of the places that I get excited to go to since I moved to Chennai.
