What Makes It Awesome

Mylapore FilterCoffee is a new startup offering home-style North Indian meals. Run by Mira Srinivasan, a blogger turned entrepreneur, Srinivasan herself prepares these meals that are fresh and also affordable.

So what's on the menu? Everything we love right from stuffed parathas to dal makhni, rajma, panner butter masala, aloo gobi, bhindi masala and more. You can get a basic meal for one which costs about INR 180 and comprises four phulkas or two plain parathas, a dal, a dry sabzi along with onions and mint chutney as sides. They also provide phulkas/parathas or jeera rice as add-ons, for an extra charge, of course. You can also order bigger portions if you're looking for a meal for two.

To place your order, all you've gotta do is check out their story on IG to get the day's menu and DM her. Since everything is freshly made in smaller quantities, she specifies on ordering a day in advance. The menu also keeps changing every day, so you can check Mylapore FilterCoffee's Instagram page for updates.

Soon snacks like samosa, kachori, pakodas, Delhi-street style chowmein, dhokla and khandvi will be available, and we cannot wait to try them out!
