Palam Silks was born out of the marriage of Chennai’s textile behemoths, Kumaran and Nalli. Jayasree Ravi, the founder, has managed to open a store that is unique in its offering while reflecting the silk history and heritage of her childhood & marital homes. What sets Palam apart is their capsule launches that focus on a specific weave or feature, like their “high rise” silk sarees featuring a single border that can make the wearer look up to three inches taller! Their sarees are traditionally made with a modern aesthetic, and naturally, perfect for today’s brides.
