Zara, Stand Up Comedy & IMAX : 5 Reasons To Drop By This Popular Mall ASAP

Shruti posted on 27 January

One of our favourite malls in the city, Phoenix Marketcity is so much more than just shopping. Sure we love filling our shopping bags with chic clothes from Zara, quirky collectibles from Chumbak and makeup from MAC, but did you know they host live performances here too {recently comedian Vir Das even dropped by}? Foodies, shopaholics, movie buffs, are you listening? We’ll tell you why you need to head to Phoenix Marketcity ASAP.

Shop Till You Drop

Duh, the most obvious reason. This mall houses some really cool stores that aren’t there in any other mall. Hi there Zara & Chumbak! So they’ve got everything under one roof — you can get groceries from Big Bazaar on the lower ground floor, day and party wear from Only, Vero Moda & Zara on the ground floor. There’s also home décor & toys from Hamleys and Home Stop on the first floor, desi wear from Global Desi and books from Starmark on the second floor. Pick some killer heels at Steve Madden or shop for lovely skin, bath & beauty products at Kiel’s, The Body Shop and Kama Ayurveda. You’ll probably need to make an entire day of it!

Dine & Wine

Did you know there’s a Keventers here at Phoenix? All that shopping is sure to make you thirsty, eh? So get your milkshake cravings sorted. And if you’re famished, check out their awesome restaurants and cafes. Tuck into peri peri chicken from Nando’s, dumplings at Mamagato, cake and coffee at Writer’s Café or some good old south Indian dishes at Nala’s Aapakadai.

Events Galore

For more than just shopping, keep an eye out for Phoenix Marketcity’s host of events. In the past they’ve had everything from comedians making you LOL, activities for kids, bubble art and sand art shows. There’s even a global music festival that’s coming up in February that’ll take place in their lovely courtyard outside. So catch a break from shopping and eating and sit back and enjoy the show!

Big Screen Entertainment & Massage Therapy

After your done with shopping and hogging, unwind either with a movie or a relaxing spa session. Cinema goers, check out their opulent looking theatre complex on the second floor: Luxe Cinemas. They have 11 screens for you to choose from and one of them is an IMAX!

If you want something more pampering, drop by O2 spa on the second floor for a foot or back massage. Head massages start at INR 400 and foot massages at INR 1,000. If you want to go all out try the Swedish massage for around INR 3,000. Steep, yes, but it’s a whole hour of complete relaxation! Go on now and treat yo’self!

High Street Shopping At Palladium

Yes, Chennai peeps! We finally get our high street Palladium mall. While not all stores are open yet, you can drop into their H&M store for clothes, shoes, bags and more — some of which are even on sale! By next month, most stores will be open. We’re expecting some biggies like Hugo Boss, Satya Paul and Michael Kors to open shop soon, so keep your eyes and ears {and wallets} open!

Find them on Facebook here.
