When life gives you big, fat breakfast options and a menu? What do you do? You just work your way through it. Exactly, what we have in mind, when we are going to head to Pumpkin Tales, a new Alwarpet restaurant that has a hefty breakfast section along with the other usuals.

Let’s get done with the healthy breakfast bit first. These guys do homemade granola {apparently grain-free and full of nuts and other good things} served with yoghurt or milk. if you are the toast or sandwich type, then you can check out their French Toast, Malaysian Kaya Toast and the oh-so trendy Avocado and Mushroom toast. Pumpkin Tales does eggs, done three ways: baked, scrambled or omelette with way too many styles and additions {from cheese to chorizo} you can opt for.

But we are saving stomach space for not one but five kinds of Eggs Benedict the restaurant does. The classic eggs dish with Hollaindaise sauce and brioche toast is served with everything from smoked salmon to chorizo and bacon to grilled veggies. Then there are breakfast in bowls such as theAsian congee to grain-free bowls. The mains come with risottos, ramens, Shepherd’s Pie and more. We are planning to make this our new brunch hangout on weekends. Watch this space for more.
