What Makes It Awesome

Salt is an Indian restaurant, offering a fusion of both a Dhaba and a modern bistro, both in terms of food and ambience! The restaurant experiments with some of the finest Indian recipes. All of their dishes carry an aromatic flavour, which is usually made with traditional techniques and served in a set-up which is visually appealing! Located on the second floor of the Forum Vijaya Mall in Vadapalani, you can find it right next to Galito's.

Once you get to your table, order some starters to get your appetite working. Try the Chili Paneer, which is deep-fried paneer tossed in star anise flavoured chilli sauce & spring onions. Their Chili Gobi is simply to die for. If your pals have non-veg (like us), then try the Kerala Fried Chicken or the signature Meen Porichadhu. This is just the Indian version of the English Fish N' Chips! Prices for starters begin at INR 280. Once you're ready, turn the menu to the main course. We were surprised to see the range of options available. Since Salt is an Indian restaurant, don't go for the traditional roti and gravy, but try something like the Chicken 65 Briyani or the Gobi Stuffed Paratha.

They also have plain/egg idiyappam, which will go great with the Kerala Boat Man Fish Curry. Grills are a highlight at Salt and you won't be disappointed with the options. Their specialities are the classic Chicken Tikka and the traditional Tandoori Murgh, which is chicken marinated with spices and grilled for a smokey flavour. If you're a vegetarian, try the Achari Bharawan Mushrooms or the ultimate, Sizzler Tandoori Platter. The prices are affordable and you'll just love the ambience of the restaurant.
