Kurtis, Jewellery, And Sari Borders, We Don’t Feel Like Leaving This Boutique

Saanskrutie in Alwarpet has women’s clothing, jewellery, sari borders, and all that jazz. There’s a tiny problem here: we don’t feel like leaving! 

This boutique on CP Ramasamy Road covers the holy grail: clothes and jewellery. The dim lighting, wooden shelves, and rustic vibe of the boutique are super inviting all by themselves.

Their collection of kurtis, anarkalis, short tops, and ghagras all fall under the ethnic category and we’re loving it. There are ikat, kalamkari, and block prints in the kurti section and we love that the designs range from tiny gopurams to floral patchwork and mirror work. The kurtis are priced from INR 1,000. The ghagras and anarkalis have batik and bandhej prints and come in darker shades like maroon and deep purple that can be paired with white leggings.  

There are a few saris too and which are primarily made of Gajji silk and cotton. Some saris have a watercolour effect and have mirror work, too. On the other side of the store, you’ll see boxes and baskets filled with jewellery. There are bangles, anklets, necklaces, and loads of statement rings. The rings, in particular, are gorgeous and you’ll find both the sleek and the chunky type with beads and gemstones of various colours. Above this, there are loads of sari borders to choose from.
