Contemporary, Sustainable And Free-Spirited! This Homegrown Clothing Label Has Our Heart
What Makes It Awesome
Setting new standards for contemporary fashion, Sikhat is a clothing label located in Chetpet. Started by Simran Khatri, this label features a mix of Bohemian style fused with Indian crafts, all made with natural dyes and organic fabrics. Their size range extends from XS to 3XL with silhouettes and drapes that will keep you comfy and cool without compromising on style.
Their Ajrakh collection is our fave because of the versatile options it offers. From intricate Ajrakh dupattas and salwar suit fabrics to turn-down collar jackets and spaghetti tops in Ajrakh, Sikhat has some captivating pieces that beautifully highlight this craft of Kutch. For those of you looking who are looking for something unconventional, check out their Dungaree Patiala and Khaki green, draped kurti as it beautifully blends two different silhouettes to create something edgy. Prices for these start from about INR 2500.
We also kept gawking over Sikhat's Judaav collection that comprises of co-ords and mixed separates in laid back colours. We particularly loved the dual mid-twist dress in this range as it's a mix of chic and quirky and can take you from a day to night look in a wink (and some smokey-eyes, if you must). For some chic outfits, check out their SS'19 capsule collection that has some pretty ruffled dresses and smart tunics and shirts. As for you hardcore Bohemian lovers, head straight for their Rhapsody/Cotton Dilemma range as you'd find those trippy prints extending not just to tops but also palazzos and neatly-crafted tunics.
They are soon planning to launch cork leather bags and bamboo cups (much WOW!), so keep a close eye on their website. If you intend to check out the boutique, make sure you call beforehand.
