Do you like just running your fingers through a whole bunch of kurtas? We love it too and we were excited to do it at Saumya Kilol. This store in Nungambakkam has a lot of kurtas with block prints, kalmkari, graphic designs, bandhani, and batik patterns. If you love ethnic kurtis and artsy designs, this store’s for you.
Most of the kurtis are made from Jaipur cotton and are priced from INR 800. The store houses kurtas from two brands- Rui and Kilol and they have their in-house kurtis, too. We found block prints and loads of multi-coloured kurtis with geometrical designs and graphic prints. Our fave was an abstract kurti with just blotches of colour, almost looking like an abstract painting.
We also liked the plain green cotton kurti which will go great with white palazzos or leggings. Saumya Kilol's printed kurtis too are perfect for everyday wear and come in some amazing floral patterns. The more intricate kurtis have embroidery on the sleeves and are priced from INR 900. We also found salwar sets and the cutest Rajasthani potli bags, which would make for amazing gifts. These bags are priced from INR 150.
