Did y'all know about this gorgeous country home-like restaurant right behind Apollo Hospital? We're talking about Swiss Hutte on Greams Road. One look at the property and you will feel like you're in the Alps (of course, we're ignoring the humid climate here). Picturesque. Pinteresty. Warm and inviting are the words you will find racing through your mind as you step into this oasis of calm and peace right behind Apollo Hospital.
The lush greenery around is soothing and if you visit the place in the evening like I did, the fairy lights will add to the charm, making it almost a dream date night spot. The inside is all bricks, wooden tables and chairs with arched windows. The only thing missing is a cosy blanket and a book to get fully comfortable - there's hot cocoa and tea (the chamomile one is my fave) to make up for it! The menu includes stir-fries, noodles, cheesy fries, burgers and more. Meat lovers - we hear their pork dishes are worth trying. I got myself a portion of Mee Goreng Noodles with a chilli garlic mushroom appetizer. Slightly more on the sweeter side, one dish is fit for a single person but is overpriced.
There's dessert too - brownie with ice cream is what I ordered. You can also try their walnut tart. All in all, I find it's the ambience of the place and not the food that made it a memorable experience for me and something one should experience once. Meal for two costs about INR 1000.
