What Makes It Awesome

Looking for brocade cold-shoulder blouses paired with long skirts? Or contemporary ensembles in Jaipur prints? Or Maxi dresses in ikat? From kalamkari prints to cotton jute sarees, Tamara Boutique in T.Nagar houses all kinds of attires by small-scale brands. There are, in fact, around 40 textile designers, artisans and designs studios throughout India that Tamara works with.

Their collection evolves almost every week, so catching up with their awesomeness becomes a task! The clothes here are versatile where you can wear it to a party, a mehendi/sangeeth function, a more traditional gathering or even just a day out. The modern designs and the use of home-grown fabrics make it all the more appealing. We especially liked their Jaipur Tales collection that had Angarkha kurta sets in indigo, lemon yellow, emerald green, navy blue and more.  The best part is that Tamara sells outfits for men women AND kids. We totally love their men's block printed shirts that come in animal, vegetable and other quirky motifs and they start from INR 1150. They have adorable kurta sets for your little boys and traditional pavadai sattai,  frocks, tops and sharara pants for your little girls too. The best part is that since it’s mostly cotton, it is light to wear making it perfect to beat the heat.

Not just Indian wear, Tamara has pleated shirt dresses in simple prints and jumpsuits made up of handloom weaves too. They have nightwear like pyjamas, shorts and tees too. Chic, comfy and fashionable, these will definitely tease your shopping appetite. As for their dresses, they cost between INR 1,800 and 3,800.

Tamara Boutique also plays along to provide you with a complete look with their silver jewellery, footwear and potli  bags. Bangles, nose pins, earrings or hoops - you will be slaying with all of these for sure.
