Devoid of chemicals and other harmful substances, Terra Earth is an organically sourced and grown brand and was founded in the year 2012, by Meera Maran. Initially started as a personal project, it has now grown to become a community of healthy and conscious eaters.
With years of experience, experimentation, and exploration, the people at Terra have mastered the art of attaining the balance between taste and health and challenging the notion that they're mutually exclusive. Starting as a small home kitchen, the brand now has three large outlets in Chennai alone. Their stores have a large customer base with over 400 drop-ins per day at their Adyar store alone.
Strongly believing that their principles are what defines them, the founder says, “Our approach is to be most mindful in the selection of ingredients . We use only unprocessed, unrefined organically grown ingredients whether it is the grains, pulses or millets involved, we use cold-pressed unrefined oils, unrefined, unbleached brown sugar/palm sugar. We always use only Himalayan salt, organic spices, organic nuts, and unsulphered dry fruits. There are many certified organic ethically organic farmers, farmer cooperatives, and individuals who are doing really good work and are able to supply our ingredients.”
They take traditional products like millet and grains and give them a modern outlook like their ready-to-cook mix collection. With over 2,500 items, their product range includes cereals, grains, pulses, tiffin mixes, pasta, sauces, pickles, jams, juices, spices, condiments, papads, oils, ghee, supplements, herbal powders, coffee, teas, personal care, and conscious cosmetics. Out of these, their most popular products are snacks, mini meals, and fresh batters. They have sweets starting at as low as INR 35 INR and a snack packet costing an around INR 140 per packet.
