'A village to raise a child and a Thalelo to sleep' reads Thalelo's tag line (Thalelo is the term used for lullaby in Tamil). This online brand is on a genuine mission on extending the sleep hours of weary parents who struggle to put their kids to sleep. Kinda ambitious but they are doing a great job with their carefully-designed, cozy cotton-based bed essentials that are so soft that it can almost replace the pleasure of bursting bubble wraps.
Started by Vandita Rajesh, Thalelo designs and manufactures these adorable swaddles at their studio in Thiruppur. They practice open weave method to obtain the purest form of cotton that is uber soft and sans dirt. Thalelo makes a range of products including towels, baby washcloths, blankets, swaddles (in small, medium and large sizes) and more. They are all naturally dyed, come with a white base and have quirky motifs of cupcakes, fishes, birds, fruits & seeds and more. They also have muslin swaddles that come with mandala, floral and snail prints. These are priced at INR 259 for small ones and go up to INR 1149 for large ones.
Thalelo has a set of two or more swaddles and takes up gifting orders too. They do not customise the designs as of now but you can choose the products that you want the gift kits you want.
