Grand Square Mall in Velachery has quite an interesting mix of brands and Tharuni's Jewellery is definitely one of them. Located on the ground floor, right in front of Shoppers Stop, this tiny jewellery kiosk stole our heart with its amazing display of ethnic jewellery. Their oxidised jhumkas are what we first spotted, spread across an entire table featuring colourful beads, goddesses, floral motifs, kundan stones, pearls and more, with their oxidised mini jhimikkis in the shape of a peacock being our fave. And the best part- they start from just INR 50.
But if you really want to make a statement, Tharuni's Jewellery stocks absolutely gorgeous and chunky jhumkas and danglers studded with stones, pearl detailing and meenakari work. Put those on and you will need nothing else as far as accessories are concerned. Prices start from about INR 600. We even found really pretty gold bracelets with tiny heart figures studded with stones. These look just like those Swarvoksi bracelets but available at a fraction of the cost. You can also shop for some casual earrings with feather and pearl detailing, along with metallic danglers and beaded earrings.
Their chains and necklaces are worth checking out too. Long kaasu malas, beaded chains, gold chains with rhodium-plating are all on display. But it's their chokers that we love the most. With emerald stones, polki and pearls, AD stones, rubies and gold beads, these start from about INR 1000 and come with matching earrings. Tharuni's Jewellery also has an alluring mix of long bridal necklaces with kemp stones, kundan, meenakari work and more in matte gold finish that you can check out.
