Tulsi Silks, which has been around since the early 1990s, was once Mylapore’s best kept saree secret. Today though, the store has a cult following {that includes celebrities like Jyothika and Samantha Prabhu} for its vast collection of silks, georgettes, Benarasis, Tussars and linens. Tulsi Silks has even been presenting at Lakme Fashion Week for the last couple of years. The store has its own weaving unit, which means you can get the saree of your dreams custom made for you, in the patterns and colours that you choose! Just make sure to place your order well in advance to your event.
