If you're a sucker for all things handmade and organic, you will love Turquoise, 'the store'. A homegrown clothing label, you can find some beautiful handblock prints and hand-embroidered outfits curated from artisans directly here. Their fabrics are made with natural dyes and prints that beautifully capture the skills of mainly Gujarat artisans. ,

We mostly found an extensive collection of Ajrakh prints at Turquoise, 'the store'. From palazzo sets and kurtas to artsy shirts for men, they have Ajrakh in almost all their categories. Their summer collection looks particularly soothing with soft cottons and linens dominating the range comprising of layered dresses, maxi dresses and kurta and palazzos. Their powder blue, striped peplum top is our fave in this collection as it looks super comfy and comes with intricate handweaving on the sleeves and the hemline. Price for this is INR 2500. 

With an online store as well as a boutique in Purusaiwakkam, Turquoise, 'the store' lets you customize your outfits to give you the perfect fit. You can choose from their online ready-made pieces and get them altered to your specifications or walk into their boutique and get outfits custom-made from scratch. They have some lovely, unstitched kurta and pant fabrics in Mashru silk, Ajrakh, indigo cut leaf pattern, buta prints and more. We couldn't take our eyes off the Ajrakh, 5 kaam fabric, priced at  INR 650/mtr, mainly because of the intricacy of the design. For something super royal, check out their Mashru silk, Ajrakh fabric in black. A bit on the expensive side, you're sure to look like million-dollar bucks in any outfit that you design using this.
