What Makes It Awesome
As soon as you enter, this new and improved pub, you’re going to fall in love with the vibe of the place. It’s cool, it’s classy; big enough for a party, small enough for more intimate groups of people. Expect small tables, bar stools and hipster décor. The bar’s on the ground floor and if you want someplace (slightly) quieter, then head upstairs because there are a few sofas here. On a Friday the place starts filling in by 9ish, so make sure to reserve a table before coming in. The staff is courteous and our waitress lets us know what’s popular on the menu.
So there’s a couple of cool cocktails, served with dry ice like the Tokyo Mid-Town with vodka, musk melon, topped with ginger ale, served in a big mug and literally smoking. But we tried the Raspberry & Rhubarb Margarita, sweet and zingy in a glass rimmed with sugar crystals. Yum! We also tried the Fireball Sour — a cinnamon whisky with egg white, lime, fireball bitters and aromatic bitters. The kick of cinnamon elevates the flavours of the drink and makes it super delicious. Just don’t leave your drink alone for too long if you don’t like the smell of the egg froth.
Non-vegetarians, you absolutely have to try the Lamb Skewers and Jalapeno Tzatziki — so meaty, so flavourful! A must-have. There’s Blue Cheese Chicken Tikka if you’re feeling experimental and crispy Beer Battered Seafood & Malted Tarter if you’re craving something fishy. We tried Thai Curry & Rice for mains, which we think you can skip. We hear their thin-crust pizzas are pretty yum too. We’re eyeing the Pepperoni and Fresh Figs the next time we swing by.
What Could Be Better
Their drinks are a little more expensive when compared to other bars.
Pro-Tip
There’s also the Rabbit’s Bucket List where you get four domestic beers at INR 599+tax.
