Started by Meenakshi, Vivaantaa is an online women's clothing brand based in Chennai offering offbeat as well as traditional outfits to choose from. Kurtis, salwars, crop tops, dresses, maxis and gowns- Vivaantaa has a quirky yet elegant collection of them all. These pieces are designed by Meenakshi herself and hand-stitched by in-house tailors. But it's their sarees that have our heart.
Predominantly cotton, their saree collection includes options like mulmul cotton, Chettinad cotton and more. Their silk cotton saree with Pochampally patches and borders in white is our fave. They also have hand block printed sarees that come in stripes, floral and Om motifs and even sarees with Sanskrit mantras. We found knee-length indie dresses in Mangalgiri cotton with zaris and also crop tops in indie prints. Our favourite one is the blue crop top in Ikkat print.
Vivaantaa also takes up tailoring orders and customisation requests. You can choose your own fabric and show them a reference image for designing! They take up to a week to deliver, so be sure to place your request in advance. You can also get bulk orders done from them. In the readymade range, the kurtas start from INR 450, while their dresses start from INR 500. They ship pan-India.
