Kajal Raisinghani has been making quite a buzz with her picture-perfect macarons that she, oh so beautifully decorates her cakes with. A hotelier turned home baker, Kajal's love for baking and treating others with toothsome desserts made her start Love Sugar & Batter four years ago, and it's only been growing ever since. Solely running the whole business, most of her desserts are eggless (macarons too), with everything made from scratch on an order basis.
Macarons and floral accents are what make her cakes look absolutely stunning, and you can get them in flavours like dark chocolate and hazelnut, red velvet, chocolate and peanut butter crunch and more. On asking about the texture of her cakes, she enthusiastically tells us that she believes in going beyond sponge and cream and adding different elements of crunch and tanginess through nuts, sauces, chocolates, fruits and more to her cakes. Love Sugar & Batter also specialises in eggless cinnamon rolls and claims to be the first to introduce them to the Chennai food scene. You can get them in the form of cinnamon roll cakes too.
Love Sugar & Batter also does cupcakes, brownies, tarts, pies, quiches and croissants. You can even get protein brownies and sugar-free versions of cakes and cookies done too. You can hit them up for bulk orders and customised hampers as well. Just make sure you place your order at least a week in advance. They can also dole out doughnuts and are open to experimenting with new flavours and dessert varieties.
