Love trinkets? Then check out Abhimaan Crafts in Forum Vijaya Mall. With one stall on every floor of this Vadapalani mall, starting from the first floor, this place has all kinds of traditional, Rajasthani knick-knacks right from jewellery items to toys and mouth fresheners. The stall on the first floor is filled with colourful bobble-heads, pen stands, figurines of Rajasthani men and women, toys and instruments like xylophones, pots, houses and more - all made of out of wood and painted in the brightest of colours. The tiny wooden models of vintage bikes, cars, and scooters are our fave. Prices start from about INR 350.
On the second floor, Abhimaan Crafts bedazzles you with the most colourful juttis and handcrafted sandals. Beads, mirrors, pom-poms, vivid and intricately embroidered slip-ons can be found on display here. There are plenty of tan sandals and pastel-coloured mules with sketches of birds, leaves and other quirky prints too.
If you're looking for jewellery, head straight to the third floor of the mall where Abhimaan Crafts has quite a collection on display. Oxidised silver chains, oxidised chokers and anklets that can be paired with your salwars and kurtas to nail the indie look are aplenty! Their jhumkas, in particular, won us over. Available in many varieties right from plain beaded ones and colourful enamelled pieces to oxidised turquoise jhumkas along with chaandbalis - the collection here will leave you feeling spoilt for choice. There are plenty of statement rings and studs too, so shop away.
