Ever imagined dining over an aquarium? Hu Tong in Alwarpet lets you do that while also creating a lovely ambience enhanced by soothing Chinese music and hanging lamps. The underground aquarium is filled with different kinds of fish and we're not sure if the glass protects them from vibrations if you don't mind them looking up at you, go for it!
Coming straight to the food, try the crispy spinach with puffed rice, which has both elements of spice and sweet and won’t fill you up too much. We loved the Night Market egg ribbon noodles, a common delicacy in China, which was mildly spiced and is priced at INR 375! Hu Tong also has enough sharing plate options for both vegetarians and meat lovers.
If you love dim sums, try their mushroom or their basil and leek dim sum. Hu Tong also has baos and burgers and soup as well. But, if you're looking for some sweet indulgence, get the pineapple upside-down cake, where you have to break the outer covering made of white chocolate to dig into pineappley sweetness. There’s caramel popcorn in there as well. A total delight. Their Mik Toast and Condensed Milk Ice Cream is bomb too!
