If you are looking to leave behind city life and head out for a holiday, it doesn’t get better than Kadal Beach House. Located in the narrow lane that leads towards Serenity Beach, around 15 minutes before Pondicherry, Kadal looks like a simple white building from the outside but actually is a mini paradise once you step inside through the beautiful Chettinad-style door.
The villa begins with a scenic pool by the lawn with pretty trees and flowers almost touching the waters. And right beside the pool is your spot to play games like carom, and tables to dine and even work at if needed. Don’t miss out the adorable swimming essentials besides the carrom board, especially if you’re visiting with kids!
The villa has 3 bedrooms, all decked up with both modern and rustic wooden furniture and super soft linens and rugs. Our favourite was the room beside the pool and the room with the balcony on the first floor. The cute room beside the pool on the ground floor has a canopy bed and has the closest access to the lounge area, which comes with a music system and bar stools as well. We are obsessed with the open shower - it’s gorgeous!
Come rain or shine, Kadal Beach House is picture-perfect either way. We happened to visit this place during the monsoon season once and we couldn’t take our eyes off the lounge area which becomes a great place to unwind, so come here if all you want to do is lounge around. We highly recommend you carry a book or two with you and choose a corner from the many serene spots at this villa.
Individual rooms at the beach house are priced at INR 4500 plus tax for two per night. You could also book the whole of Kadal Beach House for you and your squad for a relaxing weekend getaway.
