Do you want to try some Tabbouleh or Falafel? You're in the right place! Lebanese cuisine is mouth-watering and at the same time doesn't guilt trip you after having a hearty meal because it's healthy too. We've hunted down the best places for you to chow down some Lebanese fare. If you want a nice place to take your date or just want a bite to eat on the go, or even if you're vegan we have got you covered. Let's begin!

Mezze, Alwarpet

For a cute date spot, Mezze is a great option. The restaurant offers an array of dishes but we recommend trying the tabbouleh, za'atar fried chicken, or fried calamari for appetizers. The shawarma of the day and shish taouk are great mains. End your meal with the rose milk cake or baklava for the perfect Lebanese food trip. But we do want to warn you that if you love spice then some dishes may fall flat and the drinks are pretty average. The vibe is very cosy and inviting and the decor is eclectic and has a fun Middle Eastern touch. The menu is huge and it’ll take time to choose what you want, but don’t worry the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

LBB Tip: Book your table beforehand, lines get very long during peak lunch and dinner hours, and there is no waiting area. There are very limited parking slots so you may have to park on the street.

22 Constanzaa, Abiramapuram

This restaurant serves great food and has a huge selection of vegetarian options also. The classic hummus is a standout, and their baba ghanoush dip is a must-try appetiser. For mains try the shish taouk, malai smoked chicken shawarma for something different, or the falafel. The baklava and kunafa are tasty and a great choice for dessert. The decor is rustic and charming, and there's Arabic Music in the background. They serve not just Lebanese cuisine but Moroccan, Iranian, and more as well, covering dishes from 22 Middle Eastern countries hence the name.

LBB Tip: Call ahead to reserve your table and make sure you arrive during the specified lunch or dinner hours. The management and staff strictly adhere to these times and do not extend service beyond that particular time slot.

Middle Eastern Eats, Anna Nagar

For a very easygoing and laid-back meal that doesn’t require the need to reserve a table Middle Eastern Eats is a great place to relax and enjoy some yummy Lebanese food. Even though the restaurant may seem small the portion sizes are huge plus the welcoming atmosphere lets you savour their meals in peace to your heart's content. The owner is very friendly and helps out with what dish to order according to your preference. Some of the standout dishes include the spicy meat hummus which also comes with complimentary pita chips, shawarma and falafels. The restaurant serves authentic toum which is a Lebanese garlic sauce instead of mayonnaise to dip your kuboos or pita bread in.

Tamu Tamu

Tamu Tamu is Chennai’s first 100% vegan restaurant and has consistently impressed Chennaiites with yummy food and great service. The place is known for its vibrant Lebanese meal box and pita pockets. Each bite you take will be a burst of flavour and freshness. The za'atar pita is a must-try especially with the Naga King Chilli dip and the falafel is near perfect. The portion sizes are large and very economical for the price. The menu may seem very small but all the dishes are packed with plant-based goodness perfect if you're health conscious. It’s a very small place so we do recommend a self-pickup or delivery option. They have great lunchbox options and regular customers praise the quick delivery and generous portions even for takeout.

Beirut Bistro

Despite the modest setting and limited seating, the food does not disappoint. They don’t have a huge menu but try their cold mezze options of hummus, moutabal and toum that is served with pita bread. In their hot mezze options check out the falafel of course and Beirut baked potato. Their shawarma and mankouchet are must-try mains. There is a lack of proper seating, so a comfortable dine-in atmosphere is not available, however, for a quick option to eat some yummy Lebanese food that won’t break your bank and fills your stomach, Beirut Bistro is a great option.
