Maliboo, a cafe-based boutique in Alwarpet designs customised blouses and bridal wear.

With specialisation in aari and tambour embroidery which is mainly done by kaarigars from Kolkatta, each blouse is unique and is bound to make heads turn. Usually, aari work involves threadwork, beads, and stones, but Maliboo gives it a twist and does 3D artwork, Rudhra Venugopal, the owner, tells us. 

Maliboo strives to make unique and one-of-a-kind merch, tending patiently to each detail so no blouse looks like another. Recently, they embroidered a temple on a blouse and used Swarovski stones and terracotta pendants.
