That Waffle Place is a small, adorable dessert parlour near Kilpauk and you must try their waffle sandwiches and mini pancakes. We liked them a waffle lot!

What Makes It Awesome

We dropped by this dessert parlour recently to get our weekly, I mean, daily dose of a sugar rush. Started by the same folks at The Wok Box who we love for their delicious DIY noodle bowls, That Waffle Place came as a sweet surprise. With a cool white and blue colour scheme and a live counter where you can watch the cooks whip up your desserts right in front of you, the place is small enough to just fit 5-6 people, so you might want to take your order and waff-off.

They have waff-wiches — two waffle blocks and a delicious, creamy spread of chocolate in between. Choose from the classic Maple Butter to the nutty Peanut Butter & Chocolate combo. We tried the Chocoholic — dark chocolate waffle with a chocolate gooey spread in the middle— absolutely scrumptious. Just the right ratio of airy, doughy and crispy to be honest! Though we wouldn’t mind it airier. They even have Salted Caramel and Waffle Pop that includes Cadbury’s Gems and popping candy! Get everything from INR 80 to INR 160. A sweet deal, we think!

Also, do get a box of their absolutely adorably sized mini pancakes (just a little bigger than the size of a coin). The Nutella Dutch Mini Pancake was heavenly; you get 12 for INR 170 with a generous spread of Nutella. We’re eyeing Nostalgia (white chocolate, gems, and sprinkles) and Banananana (salted caramel, banana, and chocolate chips) for our next visit. Yes, we’re definitely coming back! They have shakes and coolers on offer too and you can jazz up your waffles and mini pancakes with add-ons like whipped cream, fruit compote, ice cream and assorted nuts to name a few.
