Happy 2014- we're kicked about the New Year! The LBBD crew's been working hard; we're planning exciting events, and scouting for awesome new places, people and things to do in Delhi. Yes, it's cold and foggy and gloomy. But that's no reason to be boring. More from the crew:
Revisiting Elmas | Pre-New Year celebrations started at Elma's new spot in Hauz Khas Village. They've reopened above TLR, and fortunately retained the English charm they had. Not going to lie, it's a pity TLR looks and feels nothing like before.

Buy us some flowers? | In full bloom this season, the 'Nargis' flower. Strolling the streets of Defence Colony, which is where the LBBD HQ has shifted to {full power!}, these beauties caught our eye.

Topping up on chai & matthi | Fortunately, we can hide under layers of coats and sweaters this season. One of our very many necessary indulgences- copious amounts of chai and coffee, with more that a dollop of a sugar, and thela waali matthi.
Gifts for the New Year- Shopping at Letternote | We're adding a few of our favourite things to the new HQ, including these funky coasters from Letternote. Also picked up their 'Do Epic Shit' 2014 Planner. Yes, that's the plan.
Qahwa, Qahwa, Qahwa | If you haven't been to Cha Bar in Oxford Bookstore, you haven't been to Cha Bar in Oxford Bookstore. Spending the first day of the New Year with a friend at their massive space in CP, sipping on qahwa, browsing through coffee table books, and marvelling at their massive range of teas.
Surprises, coming up | This particular surprise has us most excited! Little Black Book's getting bolder and slicker. We'll tell you when to expect the drum-roll!

Resolution # 1: 'Will learn how to work the kitchen.' | Pictured here, prep for scrambled eggs. Word from the amateur- check out 'Plenty: Vibrant Recipes from London's Ottolenghi' and the 'BBC Good Food Cook Book'.

Resolution # 2 'Will read at least one book, every month.' Starting with God is not Great by Christopher Hichens | This is definitely not an easy read, but hey, got to start somewhere. Also, Christopher Hitchens is one of our writer's hero-editors, so his book was an obvious choice!
