Torske is undoubtedly one of the most phenomenal DJs and producers from Norway who had a significant hand in shaping the Norwegian electronic music scene. He started as a DJ at a local radio station in 1987, where he experimented with remixing, doing tape edits, and played around with synthesizers and drum machines. His first tracks were recorded during 1990, and in 1991 two tracks were released on 12" vinyl by Belgian label Crammed Discs dance imprint SSR Records.
In 1998 he released his first album under his own name, "Nedi Myra" which came out on English label Ferox Records, and got a good reception, especially in Norway. This was followed by a series of different single and 12" releases, both on legendary SVEK Records and local busyboy Mikal Telle's Tellé Records. The latter was also responsible for releasing Torske's next album - entitled "Trøbbel" (2001). During all this time from the early 1990's, he has kept playing as a DJ in various clubs and parties both around Norway and Scandinavia as well as nearly every country in Europe, UK, United States, Canada and Japan. Further through the years and up until now, Torske continues delivering remixes to a variety of artists and projects, in addition to his own releases - mainly on Smalltown Supersound where he has so far released 3 12" EPs and two full length albums. Smalltown Supersound was also releasing remastered versions of "Nedi Myra" and "Trøbbel" this past winter.
