What Makes It Awesome
It's the chef's table that has us gushing for we are the sort of people who want to enjoy prime views of everything happening in the kitchen. A single 10-course tasting menu using seasonal Indian ingredients that are sourced directly from the farm is what's on offer each night, with the organic ingredients adding a touch of farm to fork experience. The courses are well-paced and allow you to spend time catching up with your date or BFF while Chef Varun prepares the next course -- very MasterChef style with tweezers and blow torches.Along the 14-seater counter, you will see how Chef Varun goes about his signature dish, How I Met Your Curry, a main course of black rice topped with pulled mutton curry and served with a khara bun and mutton soup. But if we are to select a winner it's the Quail & Raw Mango with the raw mango & cardamom chutney. Vegetarians, the 48 Hour Pumpkin and Chettinadu Tomato will leave you wanting for more. Especially the tomato which comes with a chilled rasam-powder infused tomato juice that really needs to be bottled and sold. It's really refreshing. Dessert of the night is the Colostrum & Rose Apple.
What Could Be Better
They are waiting (we are too) for the wine license to kick in and then all this can be paired with curated selection of All Indian wine.
ProTip
You'll need to reserve a table beforehand and pay upfront as they do not accept walk-ins. From menu to booking details, everything can be found on their website.
