We get it. Whether you are looking to find someone to date, make a new friend, or just strike up a good conversation, the 'where' part matters a lot. And we made it easy for you with this ever-evolving, constantly updated list of places in Bangalore where you can meet people if you are looking for a date, a friend, or just about anything in between. This is the first version and we're getting just started.

Wine In Progress

Limited seating, small plates. Wine and soju and sake over two-hour slots. All the perfect ingredients to make a space click. Whether you choose to come here solo with a book/iPad and go about your evening and strike up a conversation later or with your friend and end up chatting with your neighbours, it's a possibility. It also helps that the place is inside The Courtyard Community, so really, don't feel shy to strike up a conversation. Who knows, a new friend can open up an entirely new set of possibilities. Oh and if Tarini, the Chief Wine Officer is around, ask her about her exclusive wine club Wine In A Million.

Bar Spirit Forward

The cocktail-focused bar has been on pretty much everyone's little black book. It's hip, it's trendy, and they put on a show with their drinks and service. The 60-seater space is cosy, and our friends have had one too many nights of fun here. They have mentioned that they have met people and gone on dates too. So this space is very vouched for. Did we tell you that they have bar (and food) takeovers along with curated events, thereby increasing the chances of meeting someone who vibes max with you? Oh, and of course, even if you didn't meet someone the first time around, you've found a place that serves some of the best cocktails in town as voted by some of our users.

Watson's, Indiranagar

Watson's in Indiranagar features a lively vibe thanks to their karaoke nights and live music. Plus, it's also one of those places that conduct events such as dance workshops, so the chances of your meeting someone at one of these many events are pretty high. Plus, the casual pub vibes paired with good cocktails, ensure that your evening or night is just going well. You can also head here on the weekends when there's a bigger crowd that comes through the day.

Atta Galatta

If you take big on culture and want to vibe with someone just like you, then head over to Atta Galatta, where they take culture very seriously. Apart from being a bookstore that has books in regional languages as well as English, the place is buzzing with creative activities. Think poetry slams, book readings, storytelling, theatre, and film screenings. All events and areas that are regularly visited by folks and even after the events are done, most folks chill for a bit before going about the rest of their day. So openings are aplenty.

Cubbon Meets

An off-shoot of Cubbon Reads and Bookmark, a dating app for readers, Cubbon Meets is a genre-based speed dating community that is planning to host weekly speed dating events. The first event is planned to kick off on Saturday, 16 March from 12.30 PM to 1.30 PM and will happen every Saturday going forward. Oh, and to ensure the privacy and security of all those who participate, the location for each session will be an undisclosed tree inside Cubbon and they will inform you by email if you register and get selected.
