Stay At Home Guide: What You Can Do When You Socially Isolating

In a slight change of program for March 2020, we’re telling you to stay in. If WHO’s declaration of COVID-19 hasn’t got you washing your hands more and staying away from public places, then please do! Once you're done washing your hands for 20 seconds, go through this nifty guide of all the things you can do at home to kill time, make your work from home experience more fun, or just take time off to recuperate.

Learn To Make Healthy Food

If your food is nutrient rich, fresh, and ideally cooked well, you’re halfway done. Supermarkets like Nilgiris and Namdharis are always great options for this (and they do home delivery too). Should you need certain specific ingredients for your specialty meals Licious is great for meats and for everything else, freely use Swiggy Go or Dunzo.

Eat Healthy

Cooking not your jam? No worries! There are plenty of places that home deliver fresh, healthy, nutrient dense food. There are also places that deliver food made home-style. Of course, if you want to just use Swiggy and other such places, you always have the option of asking them to leave food at your doorstep. Just remember to wash your hands before eating, and for 20 seconds, no less.

Listen To Podcasts

Been meaning to start listening to podcasts but never had the time to? While you are working from home, you can listen to podcasts on various subjects ranging from comedy to food and expand your knowledge. Don’t worry! We’ve got your back. Check out our favourite podcasts here. Make sure to keep your phone and earphones clean and hygienic with anti-bacterial and anti-viral wipes.

Explore A New Hobby

While you are at home, explore a new hobby with your family or bae. Learn the art of water-colouring and for some inspiration you can check out Pallavi Bhargava, a Bangalore based watercolour artist, or get inspired by one of these guys. You can also buy a few adult colouring books or just colour with your little one and spend some quality time together!

Play Desi Games

Covid 19 is really playing a proper game on us all, and we highly recommend that instead of thinking you're invincible, this is the time to be smart, and stay home playing your own games! Obviously you have your Taboo, Monopoly and Jenga, but we love a hint of desi games in the line up! So be it Tic Tac Toe, Chowkabara, and Tiger And The Goat, there’s so many cool games to check out and you need to order them. Check out the entire list of Desi Games here

Do It Yourself, For Once

If you ask us, we don’t have one DIY bone in our bodies. But, for the sake of Sky Goodies’ adorable DIY Kits, and being stuck at home, we’re willing to work hard. Who wouldn’t want to learn to assemble one of their cute vintage typewriters that can be rolled up to reveal a calendar, or their kitschy autos or trucks that are great for stocking your odds and ends? Learn to make butterflies, endangered animals (which is great for kids to work on too), balloon lampshades and camera shaped frames. Once you start, you’ll just want to keep on going, so please order more on the first go!
